The Johnson County Empowerment/Early Childhood Iowa Board has funds available for programs that provide support to families with children age 0 through five years old and pregnant women.
Purposes of the funds are to ensure that young children are properly nurtured and stimulated in safe and healthy environments so that they are ready to learn and succeed when they enter school and to increase the availability of quality child care to support parents in obtaining or retaining employment. Funds will support programs that will have a positive impact on measures of:
- early education,
- children’s health, and/or
- parent education and family support services.
Anyone providing services to Johnson County families is eligible to apply. Funds are available for programs to operate July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017.
A mandatory Bidder’s Conference will be held on Monday March 7 at 3:00 p.m. in Suite 203C of the Johnson County Health & Human Services Building, 855 S. Dubuque Street, Iowa City. Additional information and grant applications can be obtained from
